Born in London, England, Gerard has lived and worked in Hong Kong since 1991. He began his formal training at Ravensbourne School of Art and continued at Brighton College of Art, where he obtained a Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts.
Gerard has been active in the Hong Kong local art scene since the early 90's. His collaboration with architects and designers have placed his paintings, murals, and unique art pieces in various corporate collections such as the lobby of Swire Properties Pacific Place One and CityGate as well as Cathay Pacific's first class lounge at London Heathrow Airport. In addition to private collections in Asia, Europe and the U.S., he has also worked on community art projects with the HongKong Youth Arts Foundation.
Over the years he has done work for various hotel groups in locations such as the Makati Shangri-La Manila, The Nagoya Hilton, The Seoul Hilton, The Shargri-La both in Beijing and Shanghai and The Marriot in Singapore. Works for department stores such as Lane Crawford and Tang's and financial institutions such as Credit Suisse and Citibank along with numerous other corprations in Hong Kong.
More recently he has created works for the Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong, Mumbai and Macau, the Wynn Hotel, The Crown Altira Hotel and The Galaxy Resort also in Macau, Café Landmark and Island Shangri-la Hong Kong, The MGM Grand plus Swire Properties' new boutique hotels The Upper House and East Hotel.
His solo exhibitions include 'SuperNature' in 2005, 'Shadows & Light' in 2006, and 'Flux' in 2008 with Sin Sin Fine Art.
